A new quilting project using muted colours and simple design. The outer border fabric seems to pick up a pinkish hue when it's placed beside the other fabrics. Did I make a mistake in the choice?

I'm delighted to be doing a little more sewing at the moment - as often happens it's under the time pressure of an important life event. The project is a wedding quilt for a young couple who have a love of calming tones. They are keen for neutral colours to blend with their decor, and I must admit that it was a challenge to find a range of fabrics that give enough tonal contrast to highlight the very simple star design. My quest to find the right fabrics led me to a small fabric store located at Lakes Entrance in Victoria. It was quite apt to have to travel far and wide in search of fabrics in making a quilt for this particular young couple as they are passionate travellers. I'd love to hear your thoughts about the completed design. I have just a little reservation about a more pinkish hue that emerged in the outer border (and backing) when I placed it beside the other fabrics. (It possibly doesn't show in the photos) What's your thoughts? Comment below...
